Kate (Lincoln, MA) – I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful Pebble Table! I have been ‘testing’ it out and it is simply perfect. I can comfortably stretch out my legs along side my children without bumping one another – woohoo! Our legs are supported at the right height and the curve of the edge fits my foot beautifully – what a funny thing to comment on, but it was an important element to me and you nailed it! You listened closely as I described the issues I wanted to address in my living room. You were open to what I envisioned as a solution – my love of stacks of rocks, “cairns”, which I have throughout my house and around my property. You picked up immediately on my comment and came up with a great result – so the stacked pebbles are a happy image for me as a table leg. You were successful at creating a unique and beautiful table that fits our needs. I couldn’t be more pleased. I look forward to working with you again.
Ted (Somerville, MA) – Annette helped me solve a double dilemma in my new home: a lack of storage and a large unused entryway corner. She asked the right questions about my tastes and intended uses, to get a better idea of what I wanted than I’d started out with myself. She even added some amazing touches that I wouldn’t have come up with on my own, like the bench with open space underneath (and inside!) that makes the bookcase double as the perfect entryway shoe organizer. The finished piece looks incredible and does a wonderful job of holding my game library right where game-night visitors can make their choices. She also replaced the drawers on an existing built-in hutch for me. On top of all that, she made it happen during a tight holiday season because of my schedule constraints. I couldn’t be more pleased!
Leslie (McLean, VA) – Working with Annette through the design of the jewelry box was extremely interesting for me as a jewelry designer. The only criteria was that the piece be made from walnut–my favorite type of wood. From there, the sky was the limit for Annette’s creativity. I’m delighted with the final piece. Every time I see the jewelry box, I smile knowing that this stunning piece was designed and crafted for me. Proud owner of an original and innovative ANSOLI design!
Melita (Somerville, MA) – Annette’s work was part of an exhibit of North Bennet Street School students and faculty at the Boston Fed. Every time I went down to the exhibit I sat in the Windsor rocker that Annette had made (she had given me permission :)) – and by the time the exhibit ended I had decided to buy it. The rocker now lives in my bedroom by glass doors that overlook my garden – I spend many hours happily reading and rocking!
Ingrid (Charlottesville, VA) – My husband and I were looking to replace our old Windsor chairs. Annette built a small-scale model, which was super to convey the concept and allowed us to finalize the design. It was fascinating to receive periodic process photos allowing us to follow the construction from the rough lumber to the finished piece – a wonderful and enlightening experience. It is evident that Annette carefully selected the wood to enhance its natural beauty. I love to feel the smoothness of the finish on the chairs. The seats are extremely comfortable because they are shaped to fit the body. Annette’s craftsmanship is absolutely outstanding and the chairs are even more gorgeous than the photos suggested!
